Steps to Apply

Step 1

Review the Requirements

Review the Requirements:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen who is authorized to work in the U.S. as long as they meet qualifications & requirements for enrollment into a particular program and are not required by law, regulation, or government contract to be a U.S. citizen.
  • Age: At least 17 years old.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalency (GED).
  • Physical Capability: Be fully able to perform the work of the occupation without hazard to themselves or others with reasonable accommodations, if needed.
  • Have reliable transportation to the employer, job site
  • Successfully complete the Accuplacer test with minimum scores of 244 Reading, 250 Arithmetic, 235 Algebra or if you have taken the ACT’s within the last 5 years and scored a minimum of 16 Math, and 15 Reading. Step 2

Gather Necessary Documents

  • Final high school transcript or GED certificate.
  • Valid photo identification (e.g., driver’s license).
  • For veterans: submit a copy of your DD214.
  • Additional supporting documents (optional but beneficial):
    • Resume
    • Letters of recommendation

Step 3

Submit Documentation

  • All documents must be submitted simultaneously.
  • Ensure that steps 1 and 2 are complete before you begin uploading your documents.

Step 4

Complete Online Application

  • Fill out and submit the online application form.
  • Fill out and submit the online EEOC
  • Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email.

Step 5

Interview Process

Qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview with a subcommittee of the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) to receive their letter of introduction.
